Neabath Naos Vanities and Bathroom Designs

“Well, look at them!”
Felix always marries Oscar. You ever notice that? By gosh, I have. But every now and again I find myself fantasizing about the absolutely perfect design for a master bathroom because, face it guys, she always gets the master bathroom, right? If you’re childless like us, you can shuffle off to a bathroom down the hall for yourself, which has its pluses and minuses. It’s a longer hike in the middle of the night, but that’s offset by not having to find a toothpaste tube on the back of the counter with the cap off. But if you have kids, you end up with one bathroom, the master bathroom, but the master really just gets to put his stuff in one small portion while the wife does whatever she does with all of that stuff. And really now, what the heck IS that stuff? I’ve been married over thirty years, and I still don’t know what in the world is in that vanity, just that it’s full of whatever… the… heck… it… is. I swear, if I ever decided to check it out and something moved, I’d probably have a heart attack! I’m that flippin’ scared of whatever the heck is in there.
But imagine, if you will, a bathroom vanity so elegant, so chic, so absolutely an art statement that only the most churlish of women could ever in her wildest dreams think of doing anything but keeping it in absolutely apple pie order at all times… as the comedian Judy Tenuta used to say, “it could happen…”
Well, sir, have I got a deal for you! The Naos vanities from Neabath are such that I cannot imagine anyone just piling things on them or in them. But what they do, too, is bring an incredible sense of elegance to virtually any setting. A quick visit to their website garnered the most wonderful quote:
“Imagine your bathroom built around you, where design and elegance reinvent the concept of space, inspired by the fashion tendencies and personal pleasure. NEA considers the bathroom not only as a daily habit, but also as a room where well-being and quiet take place, giving at the same time elegance and simplicity to the environment.”
Because I take such pride in writing these blogs myself, without simply “borrowing” the copy already out there, I rarely quote at such length, but I did it because it states so elegantly the philosophy of design I have been trying to develop, lo, these many months of blogging. Regardless of how hectic your life may be, you are in your kitchens and bathrooms every day of your life. Why not make of them the best that is available to you?
Neabath is an Italian company that is on a mission to redefine bathroom designs with both fashion and elegance, and looking at the results here I’d have to say they’ve succeeded. What they have done here is develop designs that are not too far from the slow movement of Mozart’s 20th Piano Concerto, which I’m listening to as I write these lines, music that is both stately and exciting, if that does not seem like too much of a contradiction in terms. Obviously, those who are not familiar with the Mozart are just going to have to trust me on that, but the success of Neabath’s mission is here for all to see. I mean, look at them!

I personally believe that all master suites should include a his and hers bath. =) Not easily possible in an old bungalow, but what a dream.
