“From the Heart”

Jcorradi Outdoor Modular Kitchens Capri 4 I don’t know, to me outdoor kitchens are an awful lot like hamburgers. I like some better than others, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen an outdoor kitchen I didn’t like or a hamburger I wasn’t willing to wrap my mouth around. People probably think I’m kidding, but to me, a burger and a beer and some convivial company in our own yard is just about as glorious a way to spend a summer afternoon and evening as anyone has yet devised. But that said, I have to admit that there are those who can go into these outdoor kitchens and make food that just leaves you whimpering with delight! I kid you not, my wife has a friend like that!

So for those of you who are not going to be content with the Old Reliable Charcoal Barbecue used by Yours Truly, well, have I got a kitchen for you. J. Corradi is an Italian manufacturer that specializes in stoves. No, that can’t be right. That’s like saying Michelangelo carved a little. Do you think? Actually, what J. Corradi does is create absolute masterpieces of culinary art, only one line of which is the subject of today’s blog. But if you should happen to venture to their website, man, are you in for a treat!

Jcorradi Outdoor Modular Kitchens Capri 6 These people have put together some of the most glorious looking stoves that ever was. Their slogan is “A perfect heart in the kitchen,” which, when you think about it, is what the stove actually is for those of us who still cook a lot. Gees, remember when a kitchen was for more than show? To cut costs a little in the very early years of her marriage, one of my sisters used to make biscuits from scratch all the time. I remember visiting her home at that time and she actually apologized for serving biscuits again instead of the more expensive store-bought bread! All I could think was, “You’re kidding, right?”

But to get back to the stoves-or maybe we were still on the subject of stoves, because that’s pretty much the point of all this, isn’t it, to make your kitchen the heart of your home and to make that home a place that welcomes guests and family. Another of the things J. Corradi says on their website is that cooking is an art, and as such, it requires the means to manifest the best. All of which they say to introduce you to “the only barbecue to satisfy the most demanding palates, support beginners less accustomed to cooking, and satisfy the most refined guests.”

Jcorradi Outdoor Modular Kitchens Capri 7 That’s a lot to promise for a product, but looking at these pictures I have to say they have delivered the goods. Their line of Capri kitchens takes the art of cooking outdoors and, in so doing, brings barbecue to new heights of ecstasy. I know, you think I’m reaching here, but, man, if you could have eaten that lady’s barbecue. and hey, maybe if I had an outdoor kitchen like this, I could have my guests singing that kind of hymn. it could happen!

I featured one of their larger units at the top of this blog, but what I find particularly cool about the Capri kitchen is that it actually comes in modules which allow one to go as large or as small as one wishes. They have plenty of work surfaces, storage space, and even a kitchen sink on the larger units! It really is one slick kitchen, and it’s made for the outdoors, or anyplace, as J. Corradi states on their site, where cooking is synonymous with love.
