Vitruvit Bathroom Sinks 1

Vitruvit Bathroom Sinks 2 A lot of the sinks I review for these blogs are, for lack of a better term, non-gender specific. They could be used in anyone’s bathroom, because male that I am, I still do think of the bathroom that attaches to the master bathroom as a his and hers. Not every home is laid out that way, of course. Some of us are blessed with a two-bathroom setup for the master bedroom, and other husbands are a bit more, um, giving, when it comes to the wife’s, um, requests. Or, as it is with us, her bathroom abuts to the master bedroom, and since we’re childless, the one down the hall from the master bedroom works just fine for me. So, if the bathroom is going to be only, or mostly, for the wife, then having something overtly feminine is not quite the blow to the male vanity it might otherwise be. There are items I don’t mind walking by if I’m only required to use them when company comes.

But if you once begin to think along those lines, the bathroom that is principally used by the wife can be something more in line with the grace and charm she may well have been dreaming of for a long time. Flowers are a large part of such a motif, and with that I have prepared the ground for one of the better designs I have seen in that regard, namely, the Vitruvit sink.

Vitruvit Bathroom Sinks 3 Vitruvit is another cutting edge Italian designer-say, how many times have I used THAT term, but even so. it is so. A great many ideas that are new and innovative come from Italy, along with much that is traditional and homey. I am often transported to ecstasy by the minimalist kitchen and bath designs that are so much a part of European designs these days, but they also produce quite a bit in the way of traditional designs. This particular sink is traditional, in that it has much of the frilly type stuff that Madame always seems to want for her boutique, but it is also cutting edge new, both in the shape of the sinks itself and in the way the flower motif has been used.

But I guess what I like most about these sinks is that even though they are feminine to a fare-thee-well, I wouldn’t feel like a girly man if I installed this sink for her. Truth to tell, a sink like this could well be the crown jewel of a bathroom that is both feminine and clean, in that there are no excessive frills about the edges. And no frills just gives me chills!
