Ital Brass Bathroom Designs

“Fearless”
Well, I’ll tell you, it’s an education, this surfing the Internet gig, it really is. At first I was really just looking for kitchens and baths to write about, but as I got further into the process I found myself really preferring the designs that are coming out of Europe, Italy in particular. In saying that, though, I must add the phrase “and Europe in general,” because despite my demonstrated bias for all things Italian, they are not the only ones on the continent who are doing extraordinary work in design.
One of the preconceptions I had was that you pretty much had to get these items from Europe if you wanted them, which, as I’ve said several times, is not a prospect I find particularly daunting, but not everyone feels that way about it, so I sometimes feel a bit sheepish in offering up yet another blog on glorious things European, knowing that some of my readers will shy away from obtaining them, simply because they are not sold in the USA
. So, is fear of import what’s got you down, Bucky? Well, hang onto your hat, because today we’re going to Italy via New Jersey, and the company we’ll pass through has brought Italy (and the rest of Europe) to the USA.
Quality Bath is, as I said, a New Jersey-based company that is currently selling all kinds of truly innovative products, a great many of which they obtain from Europe, a feature they offer as an Authorized Dealer. What difference does that make? Well, a lot, really. In order to achieve that status, Authorized Dealers must meet manufacturer standards, from sales to service, which means that they receive training directly from manufacturer representatives, a body of knowledge they then pass on to their customers. Other people on the Internet may have the same product at a lower price, but going through an Authorized Dealer ensures that manufacturer warranties will be honored. And the other slick thing-for those with import fears-is that the products a body wants are already in the USA. It’s pretty much click and ship.
So, with that as prologue, we can now take our trip to Italy, specifically to some truly wonderful bathroom designs from Ital Brass. The picture we’ve featured at the top of this blog is what first caught my eye with Ital Brass, but, as it so of
ten is with Italian design companies, one line of products is never really enough. They have line after line of products, and for each of the lines Ital Brass offers up for sale, there are the usual variations on a theme, until the whole becomes an almost dizzying array of concepts and functions.
One of the things I really find myself liking about the Ital Brass bathroom designs I’ve shown here is their use of color. Because so many of us are concerned about the resale value, we tend to use safe colors and safe concepts and safe bathroom designs, which means, whatever has been done before, even if that comes to mean, as it inevitably does, done to death. But, hey, who’s selling a house for more than he paid for it these days, right? So, what the heck, live a little. You have nothing to fear but fear itself. Well, that and maybe things that go bump in the night.
