Zaninelli Wood and Stone Italian Bathroom Designs

“Supreme”
The problem with my bathroom. oh my, how many blogs have I started off with a similar thought! But the problem with my bathroom is its small size, but, in a sense, that is also something of a virtue. The wife and I are blessed with his and hers bathrooms, which means hers spills over with the paraphernalia any woman just seems to need in order to make herself beautiful. But the virtue of being born male and rather plain is that I have never felt the need of spending a lot of time in the bathroom, not even when I actually had a full head of hair. Because really now, who are we kidding? So for me, truly, a small bathroom is a great plenty, and once a person starts with that sort of sentiment, other possibilities begin to present themselves.
One of the things that is nice about the minimalism design concept that has swept Europe is the utility of it. If, as in my case I surely can, I can get by with less, then by gosh it seems a waste to make of it more than is needed. At present I really don’t do much more than shower, shave, and brush my teeth. At least I still have my teeth, most of them anyway, but the hair has left the station, which is good news, bad news. I wear a lot of hats now, but I manage to get in and out of the bathroom in a hurry. But what I would like to make of my bathroom, if I could, is something that makes a design statement, regar
dless of however small the space may be for said statement. And with that I can introduce the subject of today’s blog.
Zaninelli is an Italian company that has taken simple materials like walnut and stone and shaped them into something altogether different, bathroom vanities and sinks that make a dramatic impact with a presence that is stunning in its simplicity. The sinks have been carved from large blocks of natural materials like limestone, marble and travertine, which have been combined with simple wood countertops. The combination of the two natural materials, along with the utter minimalism of the designs themselves, have formed a union that becomes distinctive by virtue of its simplicity. There is also plenty of stylish storage space in this collection, or at least there is for me. Toothbrush and a razor pretty much does it! But what there mostly is about these bathroom designs from Zaninelli is a simple serenity that is most welcome in these hectic times. I don’t suppose a body can just hole up in the bathroom, but in times as chaotic as these, any room that is serene has just gotta be supreme.
