“Good Havens!”
This could well be one of those “which came first the chicken or the egg” discussions, but because this is a product that is designed to help one find an inner peace, to enhance one’s wellness and to do this in a bathroom setting, I do detect a certain similarity of, if not method, then certainly of goals. I cannot say that I would have used the language used here, because I have not yet explored the many products that are intended to bring those qualities to one’s bathroom, but I have long had the view that a bathroom can be, if only we will approach it with a certain amount of creativity, a retreat.
One of the things that seems to enhance one’s wellness is Chromotherapy, which is the art of healing with colored lights. I cannot say that I am at all well-versed in the subject, except to say that whenever we are able to use our spa at night it has, because of its soothing blue light, a most calming influence upon us. As for the other aspects of this, I must defer to the experts at Fir Italia, which is an Italy-based company that has gone at this entire Wellness Concept in a big way.
Fir Italia has actually put together a road show that has made its way around Italy, both exploring and expounding upon these concepts. They began their journey into the wellness of today’s inner self by first concentrating on the elaboration of a concept that conveys equilibrium and total harmony among the many dimensions of wellness. The road show they used to help get them there was a travelling event based upon the model of a permanent laboratory wherein they were able to create, study and propose innovative ambiances capable of promoting individual wellness.
It sounds like it must have been a heck of a tour, simply because of both the originality of what was being done and the difficulty of ever achieving any kind of success. What color soothes; what shape calms? In the end, of course, no one concept or idea suits all, so what they’ve come up with has a great deal of versatility accompanying it.
Fir Italia’s Module System proposes elements that fill the imagination and reinterpret the bathroom, bringing to this room the tranquility I have always believed it could have. To bring this down to specifics, they have created a new way to shower with these Chromotherapy-based shower heads. It’s a shower system that incorporates light, color and water to stimulate both the muscles and the imagination, to soothe, bring peace, a feeling of wellness. They have also created contemporary white vanities and countertops set off with illuminated mirrors and ceiling lights.
The Shower Modules and Ceiling Light Modules both feature a Multifunctional System of Chromotherapy. LED lighting is operated by remote control (yes, it’s waterproof!) and can be personalized for rotation speed and transition among the various shades, as well as the choice of blocking out a color.
It’s a concept both new and old: new with the applied technology of systematically providing all the Wellness that science is capable of, old in the sense of attempting, once more, a heaven on earth. Because how else would you describe a bathroom haven?
