This picture is what got me started a couple of weeks ago, because I found myself admiring both sink and faucet, hence last week’s blog on Bandini’s line of Ebano sinks. What is particularly cool about these faucets, though, is the sweeping arc that contrasts so nicely with the softly sloping basin.

Mastella creates bathroom designs that run the gauntlet, really, from complex to simple, from ornate to austere, and all places in between. Their latest entry is something else altogether from them, an evocation of a design found in nature, but one that is most unusual, indeed, as a bathroom motif.

This time round Scavolini has come up with a Crystal Kitchen Design that is both sedate and Holy Smokes, a feat they accomplished by the simple act of allowing a designer access to their new kitchen design. The result is an absolute riot of color that works for some and, I suspect, does not work for others.

Bandini is a company that creates both sinks and faucets, so it is possible to obtain all one’s innovation from the same source. They do work in traditional designs, but when I have a choice I write about the modern, simply because the concept of walking on snow without footprints appeals to me.
