I was still in high school when the East German government, having lost some 2.6 million East Germans to the West via Berlin finally took the drastic measure of erecting the Wall. Now as a young soldier in Berlin in 1965 one of the first things I did was take pictures of the Brandenburg Gate.

Visiting Vahallan Papers at KBIS 2011

I think what I most dislike about wallpaper is simply that it IS wallpaper. And predictable. Vahallan Papers, by way of decided contrast, is something else altogether. But that, in turn, gets us back to this whole concept of wall coverings, as opposed to wall paper.

When Native Trails expanded their recycling efforts into a line of vanities and accessories, it was important to find an item that could be efficiently recycled. In their “rush to greenness,” many companies consume more in the recycling effort than conventional sourcing, which makes things worse.
