I read somewhere that the best thing a person can do is to keep a child’s sense of wonder, and I always have. Follow a two-year-old through a garden. Every flower, every insect, every sight and sound: they are all fascinating to a child. And, many years later, they still are to me!

The Grothouse Lumber Company bears the name of him who founded it, Paul Grothouse. Paul’s father was a period furniture maker, so Paul learned both the craftsmanship and the integrity of one of those old-time woodworkers on the East Coast, elements which are now on display in his company.
