BD Barcelona Design was founded in 1972 as what they themselves call an expression of almost insolent rebellion by a group of young, unsatisfied architects. But for all their cutting-edge work, they are still most mindful of those who went before, as shown by their work with chairs.

One of the companies I most wanted to visit when we attended KBIS 2011 at the end of April was ThinkGlass, because what those folks are producing these days is such a breath of fresh air.

What Alpes Inox has done here is nothing short of spectacular. During the summer months it’s simplicity itself to roll this baby outdoors, lock the wheels and fire up the grill, which brings us to a bit of genius. Alpes Inox lets you do the thing with the French Fries, man.

Earlier this year Bisazza Bagno introduced their Hayon Collection at Frankfurt’s ISH, one of the leading trade shows in Europe. It’s a wonderful bathroom collection that “recalls the glamour of the 1930s with a Scandinavian touch and feminine shapes.”
