What Felicerossi has created here is live-in-the-moment-hippy gone upscale! It’s furniture that would be nothing short of awesome for those who live in a loft or who have a large, essentially empty living room. The idea behind the stackable Mumble is to redefine how we think about seating.

BD Barcelona Design was founded in 1972 as what they themselves call an expression of almost insolent rebellion by a group of young, unsatisfied architects. But for all their cutting-edge work, they are still most mindful of those who went before, as shown by their work with chairs.

Another element of platform beds is here before us in these wonderful designs from Rossetto Armobil. They are beds with an inherent grace that brings tranquility to the rooms in which they reside. Also, all of the beds shown here have an option of a large storage compartment under the mattress.

Taunton Press has recently published a book by Scott Gibson & Peter Turner entitled “Blanket Chests” which presents outstanding designs from thirty of the world’s finest furniture makers. It was brought to my attention by one of the featured artisans, Craig Thibodeau.
