The other thing I especially love about Formica is that they are absolutely not resting on their laurels. Theirs is a forever changing, forever improving line of products. And that brings us to their latest innovation, namely, IdealEdge, which is an edging they’ve invented that is just that.

Karran Sinks are what was once thought impossible, an undermount sink for plastic laminate. I like them for every sort of reason, starting with the unique appearance of them, but another aspect of these sinks is sanitation, which is why they’re increasingly becoming a mainstay in doctors’ offices.

The first thing that appealed to me about this kitchen by James Van Etten is, well, the kitchen! I love the cherry and the use of tile. I love the layout and the way it’s been done. And what I especially like about it is the fact that it’s a traditional kitchen with a whole lot of pizzazz.

One of the countertop materials that has really piqued my interest is Formica, and also Karran Edge Sinks, because Karran is the one sink that brings an air of unmitigated luxury to Formica. It is both unusual and gorgeous, and a number of sinks in this line have, to my eye, truly elegant lines.
