Karran Edge Sinks is surely one of the more innovative items I saw at KBIS, if not THE most exciting. What they have done is develop a sink (available in both acrylic and stainless steel) that enables one to install it below a Formica countertop with a unique, waterproof, gunk-proof seal.

The whole secret of mood lighting is often less. Remove the harshness of the blazing lights that are essential to one’s morning toilette, and replace it with something softer, more romantic. These translucent alabaster countertops from Masto Fiore require nothing more than a simple light switch.

I have always felt that people let their fears of what can happen with Formica impinge upon their enjoyment of what Formica can do for them. And now, to the obvious benefit of a much lower price for a finished countertop, we must add the many glorious stone finishes Formica has invented.
